CAPTAIN McDOWELL'S REMAINS.

A bod;- supposed to be tliat of Captain McDowell, of the "Bell Flower," which. w«i& wrecked off Banks Peninsula on July 24th., was found on Saturday by one of the Kanlochi settlers. The body, which ■wais in an (advanced state of duoomposition, and minus the head and one arm, was washed up: on the beach, in ~" Tumbledown Buy, the scene of the wreck. It is isurmised that the body had been pinned under wlreckage, which was washed into a small cave, and tlie continual washing of the sea Wad released it. Constable "Whatman, of Little River, came over oil Sunday morning, and with Mir J. McQueen,, of Kiniodh, buried the late captain's body close to tlhe scene of the wreck.
