TROOPS GALLED OUT
EXPLICIT ORDERS GIVEN.

LONDON, Septeuiiber 25
It is not yet clear whether the strike in Ireland wild) spread, or collapse. The Earl of Aberdeen (Lord Lieutenant of Ireland), and Mr Mitchell, representing the Board of Trade, haw been engaged in efforts to promote peaice. The War Office is sending to Dublin half the Railway Corps from Aldershot, to act as drivers. Thley have been ordered to drive, iff necessary, troops in mail trains. The troops have been' ordered to protect Thurles and Ballyibrophy. Five hundred Belfast railwayimen resolved to strike to-<lay. The Directors of the Railway Companies minimise the trouble, and declare that the passenger service is not affected!. The Wexford branch of the Amal- . gamated Railway Society unanimously condemned the Executive calling a general strike in Ireland' alone, instead of throughout the United Kingdom.
