AMATEUR THEATRICAL SOCIETY
ANNUAL MEETING.
The animal meeting of the Masteirton Amateur Theatrical Society was held on Friday evening, in Murray's Hall. There were about 40 members present-, and Ma' W. S. Jagd presided. . The- annual report (and balancesheet was .read, and .adopted (on the motion of Messrs Igguld'en and (Roberts) without discusision.. The latter showed that assets exceeded iia-bdili-t-es- by over £3u, whiioh was considered very .satisfactory in view of the heavy expense incurred in the- production of "Les Qloches de Qo-rme-ville." The following officers weaie elected —Patron, Mir H. H. Bjeetham; President, Mr W. H. Beet'foam; VicePresidents, Dr W. H. Bosking, DaOowie, Rev. H. Watson, Messrs W. K. Jackson, D. Casel'beirg, W. B. Chiennells, W. H. Oruiokshank, Geo. A. H. Herbert and W. 0. Buchanan, M.P.; Committee, Messrs Igguldien, Roberts, Walsh, Donald, Elcioate and Ftrancis. Ma- G. C. Biranson was re-elected to fill the dual position of secretary and director. Mir W. S. Jiago was reelected treasurer, and Mr H. J. Francis auditor.
A quantity of routine business was transacted.'
