GISBORNE, Last Nigfh*. Alfred Burnett, alias Pearee, alias Bamnicilie, was convicted of assaiuit and robbery in-the Supmeime Courton Wednesday, and sentenced to 12 montlhs imprisonmeint, andi tihereaftei four years' detention for reformative treatment. He escaped from the new Gisbornie Gaol' at eleven o'clock) MiiA morning, scaling the prison wall when the warder's attention, was dir recfted: telise'Where for a few mdinutes.
