A floating dock, which was being towed to Bristol, collapsed near Lands End. The <two portions parted and sank. The terrified crew were rescued by a life-line with difficulty. ANARCHY IN SPAIN. (Received Sept. 20, 8.5 a.m.) MADRID, September 19. The Civil Guard at Saragos>;a charged (the mob. Firing on both sides followed. One was killed and five wounded. The strikes are quieter elsewhere. (Received Sept. 20, 9.30 a.m.) MADRID, September 19. Rioters at Oullera invaded the Mayor's residence and murdered a judge and severely wounded the judge's olerk and another official. Voters at St. Valencia control the town and have stopped the traffic and the work at the dockyards and factories. The King has signed a decree,suspending the constitutional guarantees through Spain. (Received Sept. 20, 12.15 p.m.) MADRID, September 19. The General Labotxr Union has decided on a general strike in Spain. The Morocco campaign lias left only 20,000 troops available for the maintenance of order.
ANOTHER STRIKE. BY THE RAILWAYMEN. (Received Sept. 20, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, September 19. A strike arose at the Great Southern terminus through two men refusing to handle timber consigned by merchants whose employees were on strike. The newspapers, including the Westminster Gazette, point out the impossibility of allowing railwaymen to discriminate as to what goods shall bo carried.
IRISH POSITION SERIOUS

LONDON, September 19
The Executive of the Amalgamated Society of Railwaymen have arrived in Dublin, and are now considering the position, A mass meeting of railwaymen at Dublin resolved not to further submit to degrading,conditions and demanded that the Amalgamated Executive call out the British fellow-workers. Rimmer, a strike leader, states that the dispute is strictly confined to the question of handling the goods of firms employing non-unionists.
(Received Sept. 20, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, September 19. , Nine hundred steel workers at ' Dowlais have struck for an increase of -wages and the recognition of their Union. Only three trains on the Great Southern lino in Ireland ran to-day. Letters are greatly delayed, and. the mails were not sent to England? Only one-fourth of the usual supply, of butter has reached England, and prices in the Liverpool provision market are stiffer. ! No further Irish supplies are ex- | pelted until thajstrike has ended. The Amalgamated Executive at Dublin has invited the railway managers to co-operate with them to effect a settlement.
