NEW ZEALAND FORECAST.

WELLINGTON, Last Night. The-Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast:—
Southerly winds strong to gale have prevailed in most parts of the country. Mhich. rain has fallen in many parts of the Dominion, with smow on the higher levels in the South. The barometer has risen everywhere, especially in the southern districts. / 1 Present indications are for a risang barometer everywihiene, with southerly and south-easterfly winds 'strong to gale generally. Gild aid showiery weather "will probably continue, especially on the eastern coasts of bothisflaoids.
