"Argus" writes as follows to the editor of the Wairarapa Age:— '"Mr T. M. WdKord's electioneering scheme to secure the duplication, of the Manaiwatu line with 'a line through, "the Abatarawa Valley is not worth discussing seriously. It is only a flash 'in the pan. The flash las been there ever since the Government took over the line. But j-ru may rest assured that nothing will be done. From a Wiairarapa point of view it is far more important that we should bring home to the merchants of Wellington what you pointed out to-day—the fact that "Wairarapa trade is being diverted to Auckland "
