The Rev. D. C. Bates reported on Saturday:Westerly heavy gale veering to southerly. Strong winds, to gale after■ -twenty hours. Expect unsettled and cloudy wealther, rain probable, glass fall slowly; but glass rise fast after'twenty hours, and weather probably much colder.
