WELLINGTON, Bast Night: Wtbat.is'said to be the largest consignanenlt of stud cattle that has com& to hand! at New Zealand from Amaerkla was landed by the Aorangi at Wellington this morning from San Francisco. It comprises seven- j teen head of Holsitein-Freisians, wftricbj .were selected,from/ herds in j BtrocMow (Massadhusetts), arid Wi«- ■'•',•, cousin, by Mr W. I. lovelock, of Palmerston North, for the Mowing New Zealand! feu-mere:— Messrs C. • flopping, of Rosigotea; Hart,. Dani nevdrkej W. J. Remnant, Wood-; ' ville; J. Liggins, Tokoiriaru; and. A. J. Featherston. Balf-a-doz-en others are to follow;, to compete the order, and, like the first lot, ibey will be imported through the agency of Messrs Dalgety and Go.'a Plahnerston North branch. The cattle were transhipped to the Dtrohiess this morning, and conveyed to the quarantine station on Soames.' Island." The animals are said to have been bred from the highest strains in 'the Sitates, from which they were . Beleoted. Their value is assessed .at a high figure.
