NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. By Tdegraph—Presi. Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast:— The barometer pressure has been unsteady everywhere, but with, a flailing tendency. ' Urn settled and doudy. weather lias prevailed, with rain in most piarts of the Dominion. Winds hiave been variable and squally at tames. Strong westerlies and southeirlies are reported in the far north., and on the West Coast of the South Isifeand. ' Present indications are fox- a failing barometer everywhere, for a westerly storm area due shortly, and •the barometer will probably fall very low in the South in about 36 hours. Hazy and uusetitled weather expectwith rain generally. Winds wall probably change to northerly and easterly .with inoreasling force generally. .
