LADIES' COMMITTEE. A meeting of (tlie ladlies interested in Itshe grand picnic iin aid otf the Solway Recognition .Farm! was hald 'yesterday (afternoon, in the 'Masterton Borough Council Ohamibersi, ihiene foeling present:— Megdlajne® Pa-yor (in (the icihair), Gray, De Oasl- - Mutrie, Fielding, MoKtenzie, Marley, T. J. Thompson, and Lewis Smtift'h. Mr Pragneiili, chairman of the geneanall committee, and the assistant secretary were alio present. Mr Prague]! explained the object of the picnic, and .what was required of the ladies willing 'to asistisit. Apologies for absence were received from Meedames Coradiaie and Collier, and Mi'ss Bogg. Mesdames Jones and Winzeaiberg notified their willingness to assist. Those present offered to undertake various duitieis, and" witll be . a committee, with power to a'dd to thieir numbers. The next meeting mil be held at the (same place on Wednesday next, ait 3.30 p.m., when reports a® to general progress will be received.
