Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast: —• The barometer has. fafllen everywhere, with northerly winds., strong to gale, veering to westerly. Cloudy weather has. prevailed, with rain, in mlpy partsi of ihe country. Present indications, are for stormy conditions, w&th rain and cloudyweather generally. "Westerly winds, strong to heavy gale, in parts, and veering' to southerly in the southern districts shortly. The Jbarometer has a falling tendency at present, but will probably rise fast after about ten hours, especially in the South.
