K.Z. tABIES'' HOCKEY TOURNAMENT. iGHAMPIONSHIP WON BY NELSON. By Telearavh — Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Nigjht. The New Zealand Ladies' Hockey fTournamanit came to a conclusion in fine weatner to-diay, when the -Bawike'® Eray and Nelson teams .-played the final for tlhe championship. A good game resulted in a :wdn for Nelson by two goals to 1, thereby wresting the anmnpionshnp :from Bawke's Bay, who were holdling it.
THURSDAY'S TOURNAMENT. The drawings for the men's hockey tournament to be played on the -old Showgrounds, Masterton, "on Thursday, in aid of tihe Solwiay Re--bognition Fund, are as follow: ', iFirelt Masterton v. Ex--celsior seniors, St. Matthew's! A v. •P. and! T., Excelsior juniors a bye, •and St. Matthew's junior® a bye. Second round.— Winners/ of No. "1 match v. Excelsior juniors; winn•ers of No. 2 match v. St. Matthew'si .juniors. Third round.— The two successful "teams in the second;round will play •off' for the final. There wilL be two halves of ten "minuites each, in all the matches, ex- • cepjt the final, which will be 15 min•uteis- each way. A goal wall count 5 points, and a corner hit one point. Junior teams are allowed a handi■cap of five points. . A3l players will be charged six':pence for admission to the grounds, b-t there will be no charge for en- " trance in "the compeltitriqn. Aphoto of those taking pant will *b& taken at 2.15 o'clock dhiarp, and •all are requested to be on the ground ; punctually. The first match will start at 2.30 •o'clock.
