AUCTION SALE

Messrs A. J. Johnson and Co. report as follows regarding their last weekly sale: —Hens, Is to Is 8d; roosters, Is 6d to 2s 6d; ducks, 3s 2d to 3s 4d; drakes, Is to 2s 3d each; store pigs, 15s. WELLINGTON WOOL SALES. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-opera-tive, Association, Ltd., Wellington, report as follows: —The fortnightly sales were theld on Friday, and were well attended. The following prices were realised Sheepskins, good crossbred, j 6d tb 6^d; medium woolled, 5d to 6 Jd; hogget and, dead, 43d to s£d; short, inferior, 3f to 4|d. Qalfskins.—Superior, 7£d to 8d; good, 6sd to 7^d; cut and inferior, 4|d to 5Jd. Hides.— ox, sfd to 6id; cow, s£d to 6d; horse, 8s to 9s Gd: Abraham and Williams, Ltd., repott on their sale held on Friday as follows: —We offered a good catalogue Of all classes of produce to the usual attendance of buyers, and competition was good. Wool. —Prices were on a il par with last sale, medium crutchings, [•s£d ; good crutchings, 6d; rough crossbred, 6|d; pieces, 32d to 4£d. Skins. I —These were .easier by id per lb. I Medium and crossbred to 6|d; ■coarse, 6£d half-wools, 4sd to s£d; dead, sid ; . butchers' half dry and i green, .heavy, 6s 6d to 7s Id; medium, 5s 7d to 6s Id; liglht, 4s 7d to ss. Hides Values were again easier. MediuYn ox, 6|d to 7d; light, 6§d to 6fd; stags, sfd; medium cow, 6fd to 6J; cows, slippy, 4}d; best calf, 9fd; medium, B£d" to B|d; horse hides, 6s to 9s 3d. Tallow. —Remained firm at late x-ates.. In shipping order, good, £27; medium, £26 to £26 10s per ton; in tins, £23 ss.
