I SPRING HEIFER SALE. I; Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having held at Pahiatua i on the 6th inst., a sale of dairy heifers in calf, when there was a large attendance of outside buyers. The entry was iiot up .to advertised numbers, and the quality throughout with a few exceptions was not up to expectations. We, however, disposed of all lines that were close to profit, the demand being unsatisfied, and the values obtained ivere particularly good, reaching as high ias £7 7s 6d for heifers sold on behalf of Mr C. H. Arrow, of Makairo. We quote:—Heifers of good quality and in good condition, £6 to £7; medI ( ium sorts, £4 10s to £5 7s 6d; backward heifers, £3 10s to £4 ss; good dairy cows, £5 17s 6d to £9.
