MASTERTON STOCK SALE REPORT.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows on their weekly sale at Solway yesterday. Entries in sheep were confined to hoggets, one extra good line of ewe hoggets making the price of the season- so far, viz., 13s Bd. Other lines, mixed -sexes of medium quality, ranged from 10s lOd to lis. In cattle the entries were chiefly dairy stock. Best quality dairy heifers, close to profit, realised up to £7; others, small or I backward, £5 to £5 ss; forward cowjs, up to £4 10s; aged hacks, £2 to £3.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly sale at the Sol way (Masterton) yards on Wednesday ;last, when they offered a smq.ll yarding of botfh sheep and cattle, which met a good sale, and the entry was sold at rates above that of former sales. Among the sheep >vas a pen of 60 fat wethers, on account of T- P. Lett, Esq., Taueru, which brought 20s Bd. Other-quotations are:~Fat Southdown cross wethers, 17s 4d; woolly hoggets, lis 6d; springing heifers, late carvers, £3 12s 6d to £4 17s 6d; springing cows, £5 to £8; cows in profit, £8 to £8 125.6 d; store cows, £2 10s .to £2 16s,'
