A isocdail and dance was held in the sdhool-nouis© at East Taratahi . on, Tuesday, -Septtember sth, on the o> casioni of .tihe■ departure of Miss- Ella Mason, who is leaving ithia district-. MusicaJi items wea-e rendei'ed by iseveral of the andiance, and dancing was ke.pt up with vigour until morning, under it he capable management of Mr S.. Greeny the ,mrascio . being (supplied' -by Miss 'Mason, Miss Shanks., and Mrs- Green, and extras being played by Mr Jensen. An address- was given by Mr Green, and Mrs. Taggart then presented Miss Mason with a handsomie gift. Mr Jack Mason, on behalf of his sister, (suitably aoknowfledged' the presentation. An araipla supper \}Tas provided by the /la&ies, which wa.s done full justice to. After a very enjoyable evening a hearty vote of thanks wa.s given to iMr Malson for • the use of his piano, and .the miany friends of Miss Masons departed', oifiter cheering [.her liustily, and wishing: her every ; success.
