Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast: — The tonometer tos' arisen everywthere, espeoiaililiy in 'the South. The (weather has been generaly fine, but oLoudjy in fth'e nortihernimiost districts, and on the ea,Et coast of the North Island. Moderate to -strong eouth-eaisiterly winlds ha.vi& prevailed. ißresent amdiioatdons are for increasing easterly winds northward of KaAvMa and Oastliepodntt, with hazy and lunsettled condiiitdonsi, and rain in, parts.. Variable .winds probable elslewlhiere, but principally from the isouth-easit, with fair weather. . The barometer has a falling tendency in itihe North, and is unsteady elsewlhere.
