FESTIVAL OF EMPIRE.
HONOURS FOR NEW ZEALAND. (Received September 5, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, September 4. The Festival of Empire awards for arts and crafts include: — Gold Medals : —Nielsen, Auckland; Tulburn, Dunedin, N.Z. Leather Co.; j Ashburton Roller Mills; Wood, Christchurch ; Timaru Milling Co.; Nicol, Waimate; Aulsebrook and the Atlas Co., Ohristchurch; the Colonial Sugar Company; Kirkpatrick and Jacques, Nelson ; Frimloy. Canning Company, Hastings; Clark, Whangarei; Mennie, Auckland; Ohristchurch Meat Company ; tho Gear Company, Wellington ; Murray's Milk . Preserving Company, Invercargill; Hancock's Brewing Company, Auckland. A silver medal was awarded to Speight and Co.. Dtmedin. and a. bronze medal to Foster, Wellington. '. A Building Trades diploma of honour was awarded to the New Zealand Government, and a silver medal to j Beamish, Auckland. An engineering medal went to the i Westport Coal Company, the New Zea- J land Shipping Company, and a prize for advertising to the New Zealand Tourist Department. Chemistry, gold medals were awarded War nock, Auckland, the New Zealand Candle Company, arri Newton, Kaiwarra.
