A GENERAL STRIKE FEARED.
(Received September 5, 8.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, September 5. The Northern Colliery owners have
created consternation , among the miners by declaring that there will .be no more conciliation proceedings. In future, miners must refer their grievances to the Wages Board. There'are many rumours that the present troubles will develop into a general strike.
