LITHGOW STRIKE.

(Received September 5, 9.50 a*m.) SYDNEY, September 5. Several- Lithgow -rioters.were 1 fined five pounds, and were not allowed time in which to pay. The Broken Hill ' Amalgamated Miners' Association carried a resolution expressing disgust at the Ministry sanctioning .tin© tranisferrenoe of paid assassins to Lithgow for the purpose of bludgeoning the workers into submission to the cause of capitalism. It was resolved to call upon the Minister of Works, who is also the local member, to show why he should not resign. ~ ~ The resolution is the laughing stock of the majority of the residents.
