The barometer rose everywhere during the nigjht, with strong but decreasing southerly winds. The weather improved', and bias been fine to-day generally. Pires<ent indications are for a falling barometer everywhere short!*', partaculiarliy in the southern district®. Increasing haziness will pi-o-Ibably precede ia change in the weather in most parte of the country :n 24 hours. Freshening northerly winds expected', especially southward otf Ne.w Plymouth. and Clafiltlepoint.
