WELLINGTON LAND BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING
The monthly meeting of the Wellington Land Board was held on Thursday. Present: Mr Jsmes Mackenzie (Commissioner Crown Lands), Messrs J. Damson, J. Georgetti, and H. T. Ellinghiam.
TRANSFERS
The following transfers were approved : i Sections 50, 59, Block XV,_Rangitato, 255 acres, from C. E. \ ile and executor in the estate of Job Vile, deceased, to C. E. Vile. Seotion 7, Mangatainoka V.S., 29 acres, from T. R. Husband to C. A. Neiltson. Part 12 or Section 8, Block XIV, Mangahao, 25 lacres, from G. F. George to A. I. Seivers. Seotion 12, Block XIV, Mangahao, 25 acres, from G. F. George to A. I. Sievers. OTHER APPLICATIONS. "With regard to the sub-lea-.je of Section la, Block 11, Mangahao, 111 acres 2 roods 32 perches, from Mr W. E. Ross to A. C. Butterworth, the soli6it'ors, wrote asking that the term should' be made to commence from July Ist, instead of August Ist, as previously approved. —Request approved. i Mr H. W. Fisk applied to sublet Sections 2a, Block XI, Mingahao, 118 acres, 3 roods, 24 perches, to Mr D. Hefcock for .five years, at an annual rental of £lso—Approved on usual I conditions.
Mr Jias Cooper applied to transfer Section 8, Block 11, Tiffin, Carrington Settlement, to Mr B. Y. Skeet. —Application recommended. Mr W. 0. Arrow aoplied to transfer Section 12, Block XIII, Huangarua, Dyer Settlement, 470 acres, 12 perches to Mr J. J. Jackson. —Approved on the usual conditions. • Mrs Mary Fly, administratrix of the estate of the late W. Clyde, .applied to sublet "Section 75, Blocks XI, XIV, and XV, Mangaone, to Messrs H. and E. Tildesley for ten years at a rental of £2B 15s per annum.—Approved on tlie usual conditions, and that the sublease is amended to provide for the ' consent of the Land Board , to the right of purchase at the time' that it is desired to give efFect to it. : <Mrs E. Mackie applied to transfer Section 7, Block XVI, Wairarapa, : Dyer Settlement, to Messrs J. W. Tucker and F. E. Barrett. —Approved, subjeot to the incoming transferee being examined by the Commissioner and found to be suitable and eligible. I Mrs M. J. Rhodes applied to trans-
fer the sub-lease.of Section 38, Block VII,, Tararua, to Mr T. R. Giddens. Approved on the usual conditions. The mortgagee in the estate of F. L. Pulcher applied to transfer Section 15, Pongaroa V.S., to Mr J. Ward. Approved on the usual conditions, provided the mortgagee submits proof that all the conditions of Section 84 (lp)have been compiled vJth. Mr, James M'Donald applied. co transfer Section 7, Pahiatoa VS.. "3 acres, to Mr J. R. loni. Approved. GENERAL BUSLNESS. It was resolved to approve of Mr C. jVl'Davit't "being granted a permit, under Section 130 of the Laad Act, 1908, to occupy temporarily from year to year Section l 92, Block VII, Mangahao.
It was resolved to approve'of Mr F. A. Scrimshaw being granted a [permit to occupy Sections 142 and 143, Makuri Township, from year to year. A report was received fro in the Grown Lands Ranger on Mr G. Pain's proposal to allow the payments ' for timbfer cut on Section 1, Block V, Wainuioru, Longbush Settlement, to stand over/for the months of July, August and September. It was resolved to advise Mr Pain that the board has no •objection. ; The Secretary of -the I.or gbush Cooperative Dairy Company, Ltd., wrote asking for permission to purchase or l * 1 acre to Mr R. W. Nunn's Section 3. Block VIII, Huangarua, Longbush
Settlement, 289 a Or 35p, for a cheese factory site. Hie Minister's consent will bo applied for. EDUCATION RESERVES. Transfers approved on usual conditions : Section 46, Block I, Ivopuaranga, 103 acres, from representatives from W. Chisholm to H. Nielsen. Section 80, Block IV, Mangahao, 1 acre, from A. Quinlan to S. Bolton and J. Y. Crawford. OTHER MATTERS. It was resolved to approve of Mr T. •G. Scott being granted a permit to oceopy Sections 56 to 62 and 73 Makuri township for one year, subject to determination at any time and an adjustment of rent on three months' notice. | Mr D. M. Cole v applied to transfer ! his lease of Part 10 of Section 8, MacI kenzie V.S., to G. T. Cole. —Granted.
