When -discoviered, tihe flaoaas ihiad a big hold •of ithle (building, and all that was saved were the biookis and papers tfirom the office. The stock, which \va® valued at about £3OOO, was in•■Bftiried for £2OOO in the South British office. Had : hi» .gone, a large portion, of the town must have been ,swept. Fortunately, . however, 'a lighit 'rain. w"as falling, land &he wand was .Mowing away from the Tbuildlings. -The Co-operative Assoeiaffcion have .taken new premises, and ■business will foe re-opened at once.
