The whole business ihias been, a lnuge bungle from start to finish, and money (lias been lavished in tlue Hiufct district wlhidh might Well .have been employed in other dliirec'tions. If it persists iin imposing a crashing burden upon the ltoaal bodies around Wellington, the Government will have a big question to answer at the corning elections.
