TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST.

WELLINGTON, Last Night.
The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast:— The barometer has risen in the North, and fallen in the Southern dis-i tricts, thereby increasing the gradient and accounting for increasing westerly winds. The weather is fair in the North, but stormy and unsettled in the South. x
, -Present indications are for high wind's: generally,.especially in Cook s 'and Foyeaux Straits. The winds will probably veer to southerly shortly in the South. Stormy and showery weather is expected oh all the Western Coast and in the southernmost districts, and changeable' weather generally. The barometric pressure is unsteady in "the southern districts, but wall probably rise- steadily in hours.
