PAHIATUA STOCK SALE
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows:—We offered only a few pens of sheep and a good yarding of cattle. Prices were on a par with late rates. Quotations: — Fair hoggets, 7s lid to 9s lid'; good ewes and lambs, 16s lOd; good dairy cows, £6 10s to £7 7s 6d; springing heifers, £5 7s 6d to £6 2s 6d; backward heifers, £4 7s 6d to £4 12s 6d; empty heifers, £2 15s to £3 ss; cows in calf, £2 10s to £3 ss; empty cows, £2 2s 6d to £2 16s.
