At the Waterside Workers'- Conference, Mr T. Smith, of Wellimgtan, etated that his Unioni on Friday last received a cable from Mr Ben TAllett asking that the walterside workers of the Dominion* ishow their sympathy with the federated workers of London,, then on> strike, by refusing to work for rthle New Zealand , Shipping Company, and. 1 the Shaiw, SaviS boat®, itihieise companies' being concerned in the English upheaval. Mr Smith added that the news-paper cablegraimis "were not dear whether work had been resumed or not.
