REQUEST FOR SCHOOL BUILDINGS.

Godley, of 'j tibe' j Forces, requesting that school bnildr 4 j Angsi be placed at the disposal of tikte ■ I senior Cadets for" evening parades. Mr J. Kebbell moved that iihe re- ■■ quest !b© granted, stating that ©verything possible should be done to assist the defence moved. Mr A. S. Vile seconded the motion, (but expressed the hope that the. work of (the senior cadets would •mot overlap, that of the juniors, and! create friction. Mr W. Allan; strongly supported . the resolution, and expressed the opinion; that no harm could oome of placing tiheir buildings, at the disposal of the Defence Departtimient. Mr A. W. Hogg said he would ,pnew fer to have ifihe opinion, of -the Teach- ' ems' Institute on this subject. They Ishould asetertain how the grainltling of the request would affect the teach•ers.. '■''*.: After fuiithier discussion, the motion, of »Mr Kebbell was. carried, SUA being understood that the njeoesaary - arrangements! for cleaning and restoration of damaged property would! have to iße made with' itlhe School Committees.
