"A BIG RISE."
The decision of the Railway rnent (to alter the mam© of the Kuripuini railway 'station to "Purafiau," is evidently .intended 1 as a joke. The A. and P. Association asked that the /station: be named "Solway." In view of its proximity to the Solway bQiowgrounds', the request was quite a (reasonable ione. The Department prefers "Purakan," which, 'being interpreted, means "a big rise." Now, the Association 'has met the Departiment in a very liberal' manner, and with rtftue ■utmost courtesy. And it naturally resents a "rise" being taken out of it by the Department, wluathier big or little.
