The Whakataki Gun Club held their monthly match last Saturday. The weather was fine, and nine shooitists took part. The first match was for tlie Club's trophy, and Ls for the highest aggregate for twelve months' shooting, and a sweepstake attached. This match was' won, ky Mr J. H. Barty, with ten kills' out of twelve birds. The second sweepstake was won by Mr F. W. Groves, with five kills out of six 'birds, and Mr R. W. Harvey was second in the shoot off. The bachelors' dance on the 18th inst. was a huge sucoess. Visitors were present from all parts of the Wairarapa, and the dancing room was taxed to the utmost. The supper <and music were of the best, and the gathering reflected credit on the committee.
