At the Sacred Heart Basilica this morning, solemn Pontifical Requiem Mass; was celebrated for tlie. repose of the soul of the late Cardinal Mor&n. There was a crowded congregation, including many representative citizens, fifty bluejackets from H.M.S. Challenger, and a. number of SohooL Cadets. The Mass was sung Iby AroMrishop Redwood. The. Rev. Father Devoy (St. Anne'®, Newtown) was assistant priest. Very Rev. Dean McKenna (Masterton), deacon; Very Rev. Father Holley (Wangaliui), sub-deacon, and the Very Rev. Father Hickson (Thorndon) master of ceremonies". At the altar there were about forty clergy of the Arclndioceso. Archbishop Redwood preached on the life of the departed Prelate.
