United Press Association — By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. PRESIDENT'S VETO. ON THE WOOL BILL. (Received August 19, 8.25 a.m.) WASHINGTON, August 18. Republican applause greeted the announcement of the Presidental veto on the Wool Bill. When the President's message was read in the House of Representatives, ' Mr Underwood, the Democratic Leader, anonunced that he would call the Bill up immediately, and endeavour to pass it over the veto. Mr Underwood is confident of being able to obtain the necessary majority. He must get Republican support before the necessary two-thirds is obtained. Tho Republicans are supporting President Taft. It is believed the "insurgent" section of the party will not try to upset the veto. ANOTHER BILL SETTLED. (Received August 19, 1.50 p.m.) WASHINGTON, August 18. President Taft has decided to veto the Farmer' Free List Bill.
