The committee- reported in- favour of the Bill, !but considered that the measure anight ibe simplified ibv striking out clause 6 and substituting a clause to enable huy■or® to take a. sample, seal, it in the presence of the seller, and iforward it to a biologist for analysis. The report was adopted. The committee appointed to deal with the question of establishing a Rayal Scci-aty reported that it is essential ifor the (better government c.'f A. and P. Associations that some executive bodies should he constituted, and recommended the Conference to take steps to form a duly registered national .society to be governed 'by a "council elected (by A. and P. Aissocia ti'ons throughout {lie Dominion. Tho objects of the Association shall be to watch over and protect the rights -and privileges of associated societies; to talc© action in rcliition to any subject or any legislation affecting their interests ; to Hiring about uniformity of rules ; compile a satisfactory list of judges; negotiate. .sliouv dates in a friendly imamner; develop resources and advance the material interests of the country; encourage the most advanced systems of agriculture; to foster every (branch of mechanical household arts calculated to increase the comforts of human life. The report was adopted.
