A SAD FATALITY.
WOMAN FOUND IN A CREEK. Mrs Robert Goodin, wife of Mr R< Goodin, a very old resident of the Daleiield district, was found dead in: a .creek not far from the house, yesterday morning. The deceased ladyhad .complained of pains on Wednesday, and appeared restless and depressed. During the night she apparently wandered away, and wa» not seen alive again. Mrs Goodia was well-known throughout the district, and her tragic end caused quite a gloom in the neighbourhood when the sad news gained ground. She proved a valuable help-meet to her husband in carving out 5. home in the early settlement. She was tho j .mother of a large family, who are all ( grown up, and some married. Much I sympathy is felt for the bereaved ■family. .What makes the sad occurrence the harder' is the fact that the health of her husband has not ibeen satisfactory for some time past. An inquest was held at Dalefield yesterday afternoon, before Mr J. T* M. iHornslby, Coroner, when a verdict of' "suicide while temporarily insane" was returned.
