LONDON, August 15
Lord Haldane has received an anonymous offer of £IO,OOO from an Englishman beyond the seas, for tho provision of a rifle range in ono of the thickly-populated districts. The writer emphasizes the growing impulse throughout the Empiro towards united action for defence.
Lord Haldane has accepted the offer, and has expressed the Government's warm appreciation.
