WAIRARAPA'S CORONER.

Tlie Wairarapa has a very excellent ■ Coroner in Mr J. T. M. Hornshy notwithstanding that he is inclined ito verbosity on the- slightest pretext Mr Hornsiby is now a candidate for Parliament, and it does not seem quite consistent with the proper order of things that he- should continue to occupy positions under tho Crown. If Mr Sykes found it incumbent upont him to retire from the position of Secretary of the Masterton A. and P. Association when offering himself a« a 'candidate, surely 'Mr iHornsbv cannot conscientiously occupy the Goronial and other positions to which he has been appointed under tlie Government. Th° matter is already the subject .of comment in tlie Wairarapa electorate.
