MORRIS TUBE SHOOTING.
[To The Editor.]
Sir, — I was rather surprised on reading, in yesterday's issue, the account of the Morris tube match fired at Mauriceville on Friday night to isee that the. Rjfle Club had .scored., a win. , After carefully examining the figures I found how. the win (?) came' off. " Evidently your- - correspondent, not caring to publish the fact that his team (the Rifle-Club) lost the match by a margin of 3 points, oast out his man with the lowest score, iM. O'Brien (25), and substituted W. Farmer (33), who was not in the team. He did this after the .match was fired, and after candidly admitting that his team lost the match. For the information of your readers, I append the names of the competitors and. the correct figures, and. leave them to form their own ooinions:— MINIATURE CLUB— C. Brooks 34, F, Parkes 34, J. McKeown 34, L". Brooks 33, J. Burnett 32, W. Fisher 31, "G. Thmpp 30, G. Braggins 29. Total, 257. RIFLE CLUB.— Howard 35, R. Brooks 34, C. Jensen 34, R. Wilton 33, C. Blewett 31, Tildsley 31, Oliver 31, M. O'Brien 25. Total, 254. J. BARNETT, 'Secretary, Maurioeville Miniature Rifle Club.
