A GROCER'S PURCHASE.

Received This Morning, 1.10 o'clock,

MELBOURNE, August 14. A grocer bought a ton of the Aramac's .sugar and went to remove but was intimidated by and returned to the Miliquin Sugar Company. Mr Johnson, manager, accompanied the grocer to the wharf, and personally loaded the sugar.

CONFERENCE AT BRISBANE. BRISBANE, August 14. The Sugar Conference was resumed this afternoon, and adjoiirned till ten o'clock without anything definite to report.
