WELLINGTON. Last Night The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Offico this evening issued the following summary and forecast:— The .barometer has l fallon .slightly, with moderate to strong westerly 1 winds generally, font isqually i n ; Foveaux Strait. Rain has (fallen on miany parts of the; 'west coast of both islands, and cool and ahange.aiblo weather has prevailed. Present indications are for moderate to 'strong -westerly and southerly :winds, squally at times, in Cook and iFoveaux Straits.. Changeable and showery conditions probable igenerally. Barometric pressure unsteady, but with a rising tendency soon.
