LONDON, August 9. Spouting Life states that there is much comment about the fact that Fogwell's second deposit in connection with his challenge to Barry, due on August 3rd, lias not yet been paid. Both men continue training. It is believed that the hitch will shortly be smoothed over. The Sportsman explains that Mr Seifert. of Palmerston North, New Zealand, Fogwell's principal backer, is in India, and is not due in London until the 27th inst.
