The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast:— The westerly area of low pressure passed in tihe. South during the night, and the winds have changed to moderate to .strong isoutherlies, with fair to cloudy weather, and dhwvery in parts, especially oin the West Coast. The barometer --bias been, very unsteady. ; Present imdicationjs are for cool and changeable weather, moderate to strong southerly and. westerly winds_^redoin™atijig., The barometer is very uiteacly, and 'will probably fall again shortly. , :
