TAHITIAN REPORT DENIED.
(Received Last Mght, 5.5 o'clock.)
PARIS, August *
The "Journal des Debats" declares that Berlin is moving heaven and earth to make London believe that a satisfactory basis of agreement m regard to Morocco has been found. BERLIN, August 6. It is believed that the altered basis of agreement means the German abandonment of French Congo, and claims for more extensive hinterland territory. The pan-German Press is indulgiiu; in jeremiads at the supposed humiliation of Germany. It hotly denounces the Kaiser, Prince Hollweg and Herr Waechter for their change of policy. The. Perlin Post insists that there has been a change of policy, which must force the framers of the Agadir coup into retirement. It concludes with an attack upon the Kaiser, whom it holds responsible. The newspaper "Zutainft" also attacks tho Kaiser, whom it dubs, "Welhelm the Peaceful." Router's correspondent in Berlin reports that enquiries made in official sources have elicited a denial that Germany has asked for, or desires Tahiti, or any French Islands in the South Pacific.
