CLEARING SALE
Messrs Abraham and Williams, 'Ltd., report having held a clearing sale on account of Mr C. B. Ball, West Taratahi, on August 3rd. They report a very successful sale, the bidding being keen. Quotations: —Four and 6-tooth ewes in lamb, 14s; ewes with 'lambs at„foot, 16s 6d, f.m. ewes in lamb, 8s 6d; black face hoggets, 8s 4d; cull ewes, 3s 3d; cull hoggets, 2s 6d; 2-year steers, £2 19s; yearling steers, £2 ss; yearling heifers, £2 ss; heifers, with calves at foot, £4; cows in milk, £4; cows due August, £3 15s to £5 10s; weaners, 7s 6d to-10s; aged draught gelding, £5 10s; sows,-32s 6d.
