PALMERSTON STOCK SALE.

PALMERSTON N., Last Nigjhit. i Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., (report:— At our Palmerston North sale on Thursday the 3rd inist., we had a medium entry of .both isheep and cattle. Sheep were <in good demand,, and most lots changed hands under the hammer. The entry of cattle consisted mainly of inferior dairy cows, and were dull of sale. We quote:— Sheep: Fat ewes, 13s lOd; forward ewes, 8s 8d; culls, 3s 8d; good hoggets', 8& lid, 9s lOd to lis 9d; 2-toot'h ewes, small, 8s; 4yir old ewes- in lamb, poor, 7« 6d. Cattle: Empty cows, £2 10s to £3; springing heifers, £3 15s; yearlings, 255; dairy cows, £3 to £4; bulls, £3.'
