A REGRETTABLE INCIDENT.
It is very much to be regretted that Mr C H. Poole, M.P., Was so devoid of judgment, and. so kicking in a sense of the fitness of things, ..as to drag .the aiame of the bote Mr Taylor and-the incident with Mr Massey, which had been ihonouraibly dosed, on to tfhe floor of the Home during the debate on' the Address-in-Rep'y. Every mem/ber of. the House, :withthe solitary exception of. Mr Poole, wa& satisfied with the withdrawal made by Mr Massey, and nobody desired to have the matter further discussed. Mr Poole, however, apparently wished to make political capital out of the unhappy incident. He is welcome to what satisfaction ho derived. Most people -will regard his attitude- on the question as the essence of bad taste.
