NEW ZEALAND FORECAST.

WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued tho following summary and forecast : The barometer rose in the north during the night, but has fallen everywhere to-day. Cloudy and ha«iy weather, .has. prevailed; with showers, in a few ,places: - Moderate, to-strong northerly havel-predominated. t •; Present indications are for increasing northerly winds,'and gales are probable southward of New Plymouth and Napier. Cloudy and unsettled weather, preceding rain, is likely in most parts idf the country. Thebari>meter has a' falling tendency everywhere, especially in the South, and the seas are increasing on all tho western coasts. ;
