DEPUTATION TO THE MINISTER.

WELLINGTON, Last Night. Tli© evils arising out of the 'sale of colonial wine in lihia North Auckland district were 'bn'ought under the notice of the Acting-Minister of Justice to-day, by a deputation from the New Zeaiand Alliance. It was difficult to provide sufficient poILoe to oootrol such a scattered district, bult (he thought it 'was neoes-. isary to attend to the law, which did mot deal .with adulteration of wine except when it was sold by persons holding a wine, license or hi small quantities.
