The principal object of the Bill introduced by Mr E. Newmani, M.P., is doubtless, to gave, the. Radical members of Parliament an opportunity of congratulating .Sir Joseph Ward, Bart., upon the distinction which,-has been conferred upon, him and his descendants by His Majesty the. King. The Speech from, the. Throne conitained no reference whi'atevier to the titular honours, whnch our "Liberal" friends have isecured. Mr Newman can possibly ise:e that tfcire would I not be .room in. the Dominion for j more than a. limited number of I hereditary 'aristocrats, and lie wisiheß [ the thing protected by Act of Pa,r- ---! liament. There as a danger, howI ever, if this: Hereditary Titles P.rel vention Bill becomes law, that the incentive to present the Nation with further Dreadnought® might diisapI pear. Wind-oh- would be a calami ity.
