NEW PARTY ABANDONED.
GREATLY TO RELIEF OF LIBERALS.

OTTAWA, July 29
The Western grain-growers, who projected the formation of a new Agricultural Federal Party, independent both of Liberals and Conservatives, have abandoned tho idea, greatly to the relief of the Liberal headquarters,.as a serious loss to the Government's forces was feared in tho forthcoming elections. A cable received on Saturday state 1 that election activity, had begun, ina an immediate dissolution of xParHtment was expected.

OTTAWA, July 29. Parliament has been dissolved. Tl?e elections, which will be fought »n th - reciprocity issue, will take'place on September 21st.
